Lotus Lounge Interior
The 2007 Technoliday Party and benefit for the One Laptop per Child program went off without a hitch a few nights ago at the beautiful(!) Lotus Lounge on K Street in D.C. Donations were optional; still, $2800 was raised which was enough to get OLPC to ship 14 of their little greenish wonders out to welcoming chitlins. Shouts to Peter and everyone else who helped to organize a most excellent gathering. I met a bunch of interesting/cool people who I certainly hope to see again soon.
And pardon a gush, but the Lotus Lounge is definitely one of the nicest venues in D.C. It’s exactly big enough, the food is unique and excellent, the drinks are fast and friendly, the music and sound system is flawless, and the interior design is to die for. Just don’t forget your wallet.
